Wayne Boulais, Chairman of the Board & General Partner
Apex Venture Partners

Wayne is a general partner with investment focus in communications and information technology industries. Prior to joining Apex, Wayne was a founding member of the Marsh & McLennan Capital Communications & Information Fund, a joint venture between Marsh & McLennan Capital and Mercer Management Consulting. He was a partner in Mercer's Communications and Information industries practice. Prior to Mercer, Wayne led large communications systems development projects for Raytheon Corporation.


Steve Beitler, Senior Managing Director
Dunrath Capital

Steve has held executive positions in venture capital and public companies and government. Most recently, he was a managing director and general partner at Trident Capital, where he established that firm's information security practice. Previously, he held executive and management positions at Sears, Roebuck and Co., and Helene Curtis, Inc., now a subsidiary of Unilever. At those companies, he was responsible for all facets of planning, strategy and budgeting, technology, productivity programs and acquisitions. Earlier in his career, he served as chief of staff to the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition), who was responsible for the business activities of the Department of Defense. Steve also served as a Special Forces (Green Beret) officer in various intelligence and information operations command and staff positions.


Shamez Kanji, General Partner
North Hill Ventures, LP

Shamez has over 15 years of experience working with early stage companies, as a founder, executive, board member, advisor, and investor. Before joining North Hill, in 2000, Shamez was co-founder and Managing Director of The Clearview Group, an incubator that formed commerce and technology companies. Clearview incubations and investments included Medassets, Greenlight.com (sold to Cars Direct), Viveca Software (sold to Open Pages), and Bizland.com (Endurance International). Prior to Clearview, Shamez was co-founder and Vice President of Sales and Strategy at Corda Medical Care, a venture-backed medical services company. Shamez began his career as a strategy consultant at The Parthenon Group and at Bain and Company.


John Landry, Chairman and CTO
Adesso Systems
With nearly 30 years of experience in building world-class software and software companies, John currently serves as chairman and chief technology officer (CTO) of Adesso Systems. Previously, John served as Vice President for Technology Strategy at IBM, a unique position charged with discovering and evaluating new, disruptive technologies emerging from "edge" companies for possible incorporation into IBM's top-level corporate strategy. John assumed this position after leading IBM's Internet Strategy task force, a position assigned to him by CEO Lou Gerstner in 1995 to define IBM's e-business strategy across the corporation. This assignment followed IBM's acquisition of Lotus in 1995, where John had served as senior vice president, development and CTO from 1990. Prior to Lotus, John served as senior vice president and CTO at Dun & Bradstreet, Cullinet Software, Distribution Management Systems, and McCormack & Dodge.


Tracy Warren, General Partner
Battelle Ventures, LP

Tracy is a General Partner at Battelle Ventures and Innovation Valley Partners, where she focuses primarily on investments in health care and life sciences and emerging energy technologies. Tracy led the firm's investments in Endovalve, Metatomix, NuPathe, SmartSynch and Superprotonic. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Endovalve and Metatomix, and is a board observer for NuPathe, SmartSynch and Superprotonic. Tracy was previously with SG Cowen Securities in its Health Care Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance divisions.


Jeff Dickerson, CEO
Metatomix

Jeff brings to Metatomix more than 20 years of executive experience at various technology companies. In addition to his experience as CEO of eCredit, a provider of credit risk management and collections software, Jeff was previously the senior vice president of worldwide sales and services at MCK Communications, where he expanded revenue from $2 million in 1997 to $50 million in 2001, setting the foundation for a successful public offering in 1999. He was also vice president of client/server sales at Vmark Software. Jeff also held management positions at Prime Computer and Parametric Technologies
